Homer Misses Wedding

This episode wasn't one of my favorites but it was still pretty good. It was interesting when the Parson kept singing. I'm not sure why he sang but I thought it was funny when he explained how volcanoes were made, saying they formed when the devil got sick. When the Reverend came to the Simpson house and Homer thought he was the pizza guy and went on an idiotic rant it was another example of Homer's stupidity. Another example is shown when he questions what Marge is going to be like when they are married, even after being married to her already for a number of years. I liked how a different side of Homer was shown when he proposed to Marge in the basement. The clues that made her get to the basement was a nice touch and the whole thing showed how much Homer loves Marge. I thought it was funny how Marge turned into a bridezilla while making the wedding plans. It's an example of so many brides today taking control of their weddings and going crazy.

  1. Yeah I definitely agree that when the Parson sang it was funny... maybe it was like a creationism vs. evolution type thing? Who knows. You have to love Homer though, even if he is stupid... he just leaves the audience shaking his head. I also agree that I liked when Homer was able to show a little bit of his romantic side. It's nice to see that he appreciates Marge. You're right about the Bridezilla thing... some people's weddings are just out of control!

  2. I also liked how this episode showed a different side of Homer but still held true to his corny sense of humor. It also showed that Marge's sisters had a soft side too (they released Homer when they heard him read his vows). Was the parson supposed to be based on a real person because I also could not figure out why he kept singing everything. Everyone seemed to be really impressed with him though.
