episode 1- assessment test
I really thought it was funny when Homer and Marge were celebrating the kids first day at school in the beginning. Not only was it funny because of the champagne and "New Year's" signs but because I think it exemplified all parents' feelings on the first day of school, although it was a little exaggerated. I think a little part of every parent feels some joy on that day because after a long summer of being with the kids they finally get some peace and quiet. I also thought Lisa's anxiety while taking the test was pretty realistic. I know I can relate to that and I think a lot of people know the feeling of seeing the test questions and drawing blanks and freaking out a little bit. And the worst is when you think every answer choice could be the right answer because then you just have no idea which one to choose, like what happened to Lisa. The ending, to me, was great because if my principal ever canceled a standardized test I would've been so happy and it was cool to see it happen for them. And you have to love the dancing at the end because that was just priceless.
